BIM ENGINEER

We are seeking a motivated and confident BIM Engineer responsible for supporting digital project delivery by producing coordinated electrical models and installation‑ready drawings for complex electrical construction projects. This position focuses on modeling execution, coordination support, and constructability integration while working closely with project teams and field leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical BIM models for plan/specification, design‑assist, and design‑build projects.
• Produce installation‑ready drawings including layouts, conduit routing, equipment placement, and basic power distribution systems.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to support coordination efforts and clash detection workflows.
• Assist with constructability reviews by identifying basic installation constraints, access issues, and coordination conflicts.
• Support prefabrication and modular construction initiatives by preparing fabrication‑friendly model outputs.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field leadership to align model deliverables with construction schedules.
• Maintain compliance with NEC standards and applicable local codes under senior technical oversight.
• Participate in coordination meetings and internal design reviews.
• Follow established modeling standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Technology, BIM/VDC, or related field — or equivalent electrical construction experience.
• 2–4 years of experience supporting electrical construction projects using BIM or CAD platforms.
• Working knowledge of electrical construction workflows and field coordination processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; Navisworks experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple project deliverables.
