Job summary

M.C. Dean in Tysons, VA seeks a Designer Senior to join the project VDC team, developing comprehensive, functional electrical and communications layouts per design, specs, and submittals to meet constructability objectives.

You will review docs, perform basic capacity and voltage-drop calculations, coordinate raceways and equipment, and support multi-trade coordination while producing drawings and ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• NEC knowledge and related concepts.
• Field installation best practices and coordination

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents, specifications, BIM execution plan, and project design plan to identify modeling requirements.
• Perform basic capacity and voltage drop calculations for circuit sizing.
• Model and coordinate electrical and low-voltage raceways and equipment to project guidelines.
• Coordinate with multi-trade teams to resolve conflicts.
• Produce drawings and sketches, review completed work for quality.
