Job summary

BioSource International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Automation Technician in Kinston, NC.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLC/robotics software, collaborating with IT, mentoring technicians, and creating training materials.

Qualifications

Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience required
Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation required
Programming experience is REQUIRED
RS Logix 5000 experience required
Ability to work 12 hour rotating scheduling and night shifts
Ability to read, analyze and interpret English-language documents
Ability to write routine reports and manuals in English
Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Decode electrical schematics and user manuals to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
Resolve automation and robotics software issues to optimize processes
Troubleshoot PLC and touchscreen issues to minimize downtime
Assist with network troubleshooting and control networking issues
Collaborate with IT to maintain servers and ensure smooth operations
Identify and drive automation improvements for faster, more reliable processes
Provide technical leadership and training to maintenance technicians
Create user manuals and training materials for the team
Document and back up electrical and automation documentation for quick access
