Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks a Senior Electrical Automation Technician in Kinston, NC, with 2+ years of experience and a strong background in Allen-Bradley/Rockwell automation. You will program, install, test, and troubleshoot automated systems, while collaborating with the automation team to improve the plant's technology roadmap.

You will lead maintenance, develop training materials, and ensure backups of programs and schematics.

Qualifications

Associate degree or relevant technical training with 2+ years of experience.
Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation and PLC programming is required.
Programming experience is required and RS Logix 5000 experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Decode complex electrical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
Solve automation and robotics software issues to optimize processes.
Tackle PLC and touchscreen issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Collaborate with IT to maintain servers and network reliability.
Identify and drive automation improvements to enhance speed and reliability.
Mentor maintenance staff and create training materials.
Document electrical and automation systems for quick access and backup.
