Job summary

Northwood Space seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer (Systems) to drive the definition and architecture of digital compute and power electronics systems for high-speed antennas and networks.

You will own architecture decisions, guide trades, and ensure coherence across boards and subsystems while collaborating with RF, FPGA, firmware, and software teams to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of professional electrical design experience at system/architecture level.
• Proficient in high-density/high-speed design (FPGAs, SerDes, 10/100 GigE).
• Strong schematic capture and PCB layout skills.
• Experience troubleshooting EMI/EMC (conducted or radiated).
• Knowledge of PCB materials and board stack-up definition.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical architecture and system-level design for high-speed digital networks.
• Define system-level architecture for multi-gigabit networking and power trees.
• Lead schematic capture, layout, and bring-up of DSP/FPGA peripherals.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, FPGA, and firmware teams to optimize design.
• Guide prototype testing and field performance, addressing root causes.
• Partner with production to ensure manufacturability and testability across the product.
