Job summary

Judd Wire, Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, located in Turners Falls, MA, seeks a Senior Application Engineer - Electrical focused on aerospace to join the Design and Development team. The engineer will lead cross-functional efforts to develop new products and set standards for existing platforms, while interfacing with customers on product performance and applications.

Responsibilities include design and development of high-speed data cables, creation of specifications, and guiding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with applicable coursework or experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in the wire and cable industry or related field.
• Knowledge of transmission line theory, testing, and analysis of results for high-speed data cables.
• Effective technical writing skills for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-speed data cables for new business opportunities.
• Lead or participate as key member of cross-functional teams to develop new product platforms and platform extensions.
• Create specs, BOMs, and manufacturing instructions for existing product platforms.
• Write application guidance and respond to customer inquiries on product performance and use.
• Coordinate with the Engineering team to share supporting task workload as appropriate.
