Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electric Transmission Siting Lead in the United States. You will manage complex siting tasks for transmission lines, substations, and related infrastructure, guiding routing, permitting, and engagement with agencies, communities, and clients.

You will mentor teams, oversee deliverables, and align with strategic client goals while traveling for site visits and hearings as needed. Strong leadership and GIS expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in electric transmission siting or related work.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex siting projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with GIS, routing, permitting strategy, regulatory filings, and client relations.
• Ability to communicate with utility executives, regulators, communities, landowners, and technical specialists.
• Willingness to travel periodically for site visits and hearings.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transmission-line, substation, and infrastructure siting assignments with high-risk or multi‑jurisdictional issues.
• Serve as senior advisor to utility clients on routing, permitting, regulatory, and stakeholder considerations.
• Guide agency strategy, public engagement, and responses to project risks.
• Resolve complex technical and stakeholder conflicts; escalate when needed.
• Support proposal development, client relationships, and industry presentations.
