Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks an experienced Manager, Electric Operations to lead Eight Flags Generation and NE Florida Electric operations in Fernandina Beach, FL. You will supervise generation and construction, manage budgets, forecast demand and drive regulatory filings with FPSC, NERC, and FRCC, while coordinating with unions and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical/industry field.
• 10+ years managing electric operations teams (transmission, distribution, substation).
• Valid Florida Driver's License.
• Active community involvement representing the company.
• Strong knowledge of Electric Operations.
• Knowledge of FPSC rules/regulations.
• FERC, NERC, SERC and FRCC standards awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Public presentations to FPSC/State/City bodies.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Flexible schedule including on-call and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct Eight Flags Generation and NE Florida Electric ops with safety/ efficiency focus.
• Supervise generation ops and electric construction while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, staffing and resource allocation.
• Lead FPSC regulatory filings, testimony, and data requests.
• Oversee all FERC/NERC/SERC/FRCC activities and audits.
• Provide engineering and planning direction for distribution/substation/transmission.
• Investigate electrical incidents involving safety and legal proceedings.
• Ensure purchasing compliance and proper accounting under FERC U.S.A.
