Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Sr. Elastic Engineer to support a DoD-focused tech organization, delivering mission-critical solutions nationwide. This role is fully onsite at Scott AFB in Illinois, requiring an active Secret clearance or higher and relocation assistance.

The ideal candidate will build Elastic environments from scratch, manage ECK and Kubernetes, and own platform operations, including IAM security, ingestion pipelines, and integrations across production clusters.

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance or higher required.
Ability and willingness to work fully onsite at Scott AFB in Illinois.
Experience with production-scale Elastic clusters, ingest pipelines, and IAM/security.

Responsibilities

Build, deploy, and own Elastic environments and custom clusters across production Kubernetes environments.
Deploy and manage Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK), including ECK Operator/Helm-based deployments.
Manage day-to-day Elastic platform operations, performance, and reliability.
Build and configure custom ingest pipelines and integrations (Cribl where applicable).
Implement and manage IAM policies and platform security across large-scale environments.
