Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking an EHS Specialist to champion environmental, health, and safety values at the Arden Hills, MN site. You will create and maintain programs, train staff, and support continuous improvement in collaboration with manufacturing, R&D, and process development teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with safety programs and regulatory compliance.
  • 3+ years of industrial hygiene, exposure monitoring, chemical safety, and PPE program management.
  • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment; pharma/medical device preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide EHS site support for manufacturing, process development, and R&D labs.
  • Identify opportunities to minimize risks and prevent workplace injuries with cross-functional teams.
  • Administer ISO45001 system including audits, risk management and documentation.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct risk assessments on processes, equipment, and chemicals; address non-conformities.
  • Perform EHS audits, self-assessments, and inspections for regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with regulatory agencies for site inspections and safety guidance.
  • Lead and support EHS committees and cross-functional projects; emergency response team member.

Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this timeYour responsibilities will include:Providing EHS site support for internal customers including manufacturing, process development, and R&D laboratoriesIdentifying opportunities to minimize risks and prevent workplace injuries; collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects and support continuous improvement initiativesAdministering the ISO45001 Health & Safety Management System including internal and external audit facilitation and risk management; identify opportunities for improvement, implement recommendations, and manage related documentationLeading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and after-action reviews; collaborate with process owners to develop and implement corrective actions and engineering controls as neededConducting risk assessments on processes, equipment, and chemicals; identify compliance concerns, program non-conformities, and opportunities for improvementConducting EHS audits, self-assessments, and inspections to ensure workplace conditions comply with internal policies, program requirements, and applicable local, state, and national regulationsPartnering with regulatory agencies to conduct site inspections; providing regulatory guidance and safety recommendations for processes, equipment, and facility infrastructure designBuilding and maintaining relationships with contracted safety services and consultantsLeading and supporting EHS-related committees, projects, and cross-functional teams; serve on the site’s emergency response team(s)Facilitating regulatory compliance activities such as coordinating work efforts and recordkeeping related but not limited to chemical hygiene and exposure monitoring, hearing conservation, chemical and safety data sheet management, personal protective equipment and respiratory protection, and general employee safety.Required qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, safety engineering, safety management, occupational health, or related disciplineMinimum 5 years of experience with regulations, safety-related programs, policies, procedure development, implementation, and managementMinimum 3 years of experience with industrial hygiene, exposure monitoring, chemical safety, and personal protective equipment program management in an industrial or manufactuing environmentPreferred qualifications:Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) and/or Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)Experience working in pharmaceutical, medical device, electronics, or similarly regulated industryExperience with ergonomic risk reduction, emergency response and incidentStrong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teamsRequisition ID: 633381Minimum Salary: $ 85000Maximum Salary: $ 161500The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
