Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy LLC is seeking a Safety Manager (P3) to provide strategic safety oversight for utility-scale wind, solar, and energy infrastructure construction projects. You will collaborate with project leadership to ensure safety expectations, compliance, and objectives are achieved on all phases of construction.

The ideal candidate will lead safety initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and/or Health
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management
• Minimum of five (5) years of contractor management experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in wind or solar construction
• CHST certification required
• CSP certification preferred
• First Aid and/or CPR certification preferred
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements and medical case management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide Safety Leadership and strategic oversight for utility scale construction projects.
• Develop and implement an effective site-specific safety program with Site Manager and management team.
• Communicate safety matters between LRE and client management.
• Assist with executing the LRE safety strategy and zero accident culture on assigned project(s).
• Monitor daily construction activities for OSHA compliance.
• Implement the project's LRE program.
• Monitor monthly safety training for completion.
• Review and provide job safety analysis feedback.
• Perform workplace audits and inspections to closure.
• Provide training on Concern Reports and Safety Observations.
• Assist in incident investigations and notifications.
• Input and review incident reports.
• Assist in executing jobsite safety plans.
