Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager in Indiana to lead a comprehensive safety program across our distribution network. You will partner with Operations leadership to embed safety into daily work processes, use data to identify risks, and implement innovative solutions that protect associates while improving productivity.

You will build a high-performing WHS team, drive continuous improvement, and oversee risk assessments, training, and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• EHS experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of 250+ people.
• Master’s degree
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization
• Certified Safety Professional
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
• Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive WHS program across operations.
• Partner with Operations leadership to weave safety into daily activities and use data analytics to drive risk reduction.
• Build and develop a high-performing WHS team and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive safety governance through audits, training, and strategic initiatives to improve productivity and safety outcomes.
