Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and manage all EHS programs. This role drives proactive policies, audits, and training to maintain regulatory compliance across data center operations.

You will develop risk-based programs, partner with stakeholders, and report on key EHS indicators to foster a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in EHS or related field.
• Eight+ years in an EHS role, preferably in mission-critical environments.
• Certifications from BCSP or equivalent, or ability to obtain within two years.
• Experience designing and implementing systems to manage EHS risks.
• Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures for data center employees.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all EHS programs.
• Audit EHS programs and recommend improvements.
• Maintain environmental permits and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Investigate and analyze incident reports; recommend preventive measures.
• Identify EHS and sustainability risks and develop mitigating programs.
• Assess training needs and coordinate workforce training activities.
• Lead site EHS champions in implementing programs.
• Prepare and submit regulatory documents; set and track EHS goals.
• Create a dashboard for key EHS indicators; promote a culture of safety.
