Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) in Bothell, WA is seeking an EHS Senior Specialist to design, develop, implement and oversee our environmental, health and safety programs ensuring regulatory compliance across facilities.

You will lead training, maintain records, monitor hazards and coordinate inspections while applying knowledge of government safety regulations. Travel up to 25% is expected, with a competitive USD salary and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Associate's Degree plus 5-7 years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Outlines and implements policies or programs to educate and promote employee health and safety or environmental compliance.
• Delivers training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks found in the organization.
• Communicates regularly with management and administration regarding the status of environmental initiatives.
• Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained.
• Tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents.
• Monitors known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels.
• Coordinates inspection of facilities, vehicles, or equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations.
• Communicates facility-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.
• Has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations.
