Job summary

Novo Nordisk's Petersburg, VA site seeks an Environmental Health & Safety professional to lead safety processes, hazard evaluations, SOP development, and training to sustain a safe working environment. You will coordinate industrial hygiene efforts and maintain safety programs while collaborating with stakeholders and Corporate Health & Safety groups.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree with 5+ years of safety experience in pharma manufacturing, with strong ISO45001 knowledge and emergency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field required.
• 7+ years EH&S experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
• High School Diploma with 9+ years safety experience required; pharma preferred.
• Minimum 5 years safety experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing required.
• Working knowledge of ISO45001 required; knowledge of Emergency planning beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for safety processes at the site.
• Coordinate industrial hygiene programs to ensure exposure limit compliance.
• Create and implement safety programs, objectives, and targets.
• Support project execution and compliance through risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and tools for core processes to improve safety performance.
• Monitor safety performance and report statistics monthly/weekly.
• Review accidents and coach root cause analyses for departments.
• Provide backup for emergency management and fire systems.
