Job summary

Acro Service Corp. is seeking an Environmental Manager in Radford, VA to lead a team of five Environmental Engineers across air, solid waste, and water compliance.

You will oversee regulatory adherence and coordinate with government agencies and the local community to ensure timely, accurate environmental reporting. You will monitor regulatory changes, guide cross-functional teams, and act as the subject matter expert on MOD projects while shaping the environmental budget and directing personnel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related environmental experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing people and projects.
• Strong environmental compliance and regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage 5 Environmental Engineers supporting Air, Solid Waste, and Water Compliance.
• Oversee site environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies and the local community.
• Ensure environmental reports are prepared, reviewed, and approved ahead of schedule.
• Proactively monitor regulatory changes and prevent compliance issues.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve environmental compliance matters.
• Serve as the environmental subject matter expert for MOD projects.
• Prepare and manage the environmental budget.
• Manage environmental personnel and projects.
