Job summary

Nextpower in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs supporting manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and field operations.

You will lead hazard assessments, JSA, risk analyses, and incident investigations, provide guidance on high‑voltage safety, LOTO, and ergonomics, and partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and contract manufacturers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in industrial safety; or 6+ with a Master’s.
  • Experience with electrical/high-voltage safety and energized work.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and contractor safety practices.
  • Ability to perform hazard analyses and root-cause investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs for manufacturing and field operations.
  • Conduct hazard assessments, JSAs, and risk analyses.
  • Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance on high-power electrical safety and LOTO practices.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, QA, and CM safety teams.
  • Monitor safety performance and drive continuous improvements.
