Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist/Environmental Scientist for our California offices, including San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Los Angeles. Join our Earth & Environment Team to work on diverse projects that meet client objectives and solve environmental challenges.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist with field assignments, including EHS compliance support and audits.
• Support EHS compliance programs for commercial and industrial clients, reviewing procedures, permits, and reports.
• Prepare technical reports, document audits, conduct regulatory research, and analyze data.
• Deliver high-quality reports on time and within scope.
• Manage environmental documentation and client relationships.
• Adhere to ethical standards and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Studies, Earth Science, Health & Safety, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in EHS compliance audits and client support.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., RCRA, SARA, Clean Water/Air Acts, OSHA, Cal OSHA).
• Experience in industrial compliance evaluation.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Ability to work in industrial environments and travel up to 50%.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
