Zusammenfassung

McKesson is seeking a Senior EHR Integration Specialist to design and deliver secure, scalable integrations between our healthcare platform and external EHR/EMR systems. This hands-on senior individual‑contributor role combines software engineering, interoperability, and integration architecture within Epic workflows.

You will lead production integrations of SMART on FHIR apps, define reusable patterns across Epic and other EHRs, and set security standards.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of relevant experience (degree or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience delivering SMART on FHIR integrations in production.
• Experience integrating with external EHR systems, preferably Epic.
• Experience SMART on FHIR app launch patterns, including clinical-context handling.
• Coding experience supporting APIs, enterprise integrations, middleware, or interoperability solutions.
• Experience with FHIR R4, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with FHIR servers and HL7/CDAs.
• Ability to design secure, scalable integration architectures.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, test, and support production integrations with external EHR systems.
• Lead the integration of SMART on FHIR applications into Epic clinical workflows.
• Implement context-aware EHR application launches using patient, encounter, and user context.
• Develop FHIR R4 integrations for clinical and administrative data exchange.
• Design and configure OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect authentication flows aligned with SMART on FHIR requirements.
• Translate integration requirements into working code, reusable components, implementation assets, and production-ready solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues involving application launch, authentication, authorization, API access, data exchange, and integration performance.
