Job summary

FuelCell Energy in Danbury is seeking a proactive Senior EH&S Coordinator to support our R&D facility and field operations, with 30–50% travel to power plant sites. This hybrid role focuses on regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and administering the EH&S program across Danbury, Torrington, and field deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support day-to-day administration of the corporate EH&S program for Danbury R&D, Field Operations, and Torrington Manufacturing site.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations and ISO 14001/45001.
• Prepare regulatory reports and maintain EH&S documentation systems.
• Partner with engineering and R&D teams to integrate EH&S requirements into design reviews, pilot testing, and new technology development.
• Provide EH&S support to Torrington manufacturing operations, including inspections and hazard assessments.
• Conduct field site visits to power plants for safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Develop site-specific safety plans, JSAs, and hazard assessments.
• Assist in permitting activities and environmental compliance; manage sampling and reporting.
• Deliver training and ensure completion of required EH&S training programs.
• Support waste management programs and ESG initiatives.
