Job summary

Pscfl Imaging & Radiology department seeks an Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist to operate in the Neuro-Science Center, performing clinical EEG/long-term monitoring per ASEN guidelines. You will manage data acquisition, electrophysiological studies, and direct interactions with physicians to support accurate diagnoses.

The role requires strong knowledge of EEG methods, patient safety, and ability to adapt procedures to individual clinical needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by COAHEA or equivalent on-the-job training.
• ABRET credential in good standing; maintain active status throughout employment.
• American Heart Association BLS in good standing; maintain.
• 4–7 years experience as Electroencephalographic Technologist II with pediatrics/ICU emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG or Evoked Potential testing and update in Cerner; adapt methods for optimal results.
• Review current EEG activity in Cerner video database and prepare data for physician review.
• Print and edit data from original EEG recordings for physician interpretation.
• Follow physician instructions on electrode placement, hyperventilation, and cortical stimulation.
• Maintain and report on safety and condition of equipment; arrange repairs within 24 hours.
• Retrieve data, perform reductions, and prepare video EEG records for interpretation.
• Analyze ictal/interictal features and artifacts; define segments for physician review.
• Perform EEGs and long-term video-EEG in EEG Lab or Seizure Unit using 10-20 system.
• Perform ECOG during OR procedures and subdural EEG 64-228 electrodes as scheduled.
• Assist in specialized studies like cortical stimulation, ECS, SPECT and PET scans.
• Provide patient care and monitor clinical manifestations during seizures and emergencies.
• Prepare montage datasets, filter settings, and analyze seizure counts.
• Coordinate with technicians to share critical patient data for ongoing care.
• Document EMR fields to support meaningful use and Lean initiatives.
• Participate in Lean to improve processes and patient experience; measure impact via metrics.
