Job summary

Hawaii Public Schools seeks an Educational Specialist III to lead statewide Alternative Learning Programs (ALPSS) in alignment with the 2023-2029 Strategic Plan. The role emphasizes data-driven resource management and guidance to ensure high-quality services for students facing multiple challenges.

Under the Educational Director of the Alternative Programs Branch, you will supervise program development, monitor outcomes, and coordinate with OSSS and DOE leadership to support at-promise students

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education with specialization in education or a related field.
• Eight years of professional education experience including four years in teaching and four years in curriculum or program planning.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, educational statistics, and relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and monitoring ALPSS at district and school levels.
• Lead data-driven resource management to align ALPSS budgets with goals.
• Provide statewide guidance for alternative learning programs and support staff development.
• Coordinate with OSSS and stakeholders on leadership, direction, and guidance for program support.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
