Job summary

F3 Law seeks an Education Law Senior Counsel to provide senior-level counsel to education clients, independently handling sophisticated matters and serving as a trusted advisor. The role emphasizes strategic guidance in complex legal, operational, and risk-management issues.

This position may be hybrid with regular in-office collaboration about one day per week; discussion of reduced-hour or part-time schedules is welcome for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active Missouri Bar in good standing.
• Illinois Bar admission strongly preferred.
• Approximately 10+ years of education law experience.
• Significant experience independently managing sophisticated matters.
• Demonstrated expertise in education law, litigation, or regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior legal counsel and advisor to education clients on complex matters.
• Independently manage high-level education law matters including litigation and investigations.
• Provide strategic guidance to districts and institutions on risk and compliance.
• Lead or participate in high-stakes litigation, due process, and negotiations.
• Draft and review pleadings, briefs, memoranda, and policies.
• Mentor attorneys within the education law practice and support business development.
