Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Finance Officer for the Education and Schools Finance Team in Enfield. This permanent role requires on-site presence and offers a base salary of £44,184 to £47,262 per year, paid bi-weekly.

You will provide expert financial advice, support budgeting and forecasting, and prepare management information and statutory returns. Government experience is essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Government experience is mandatory; candidates without it will not be considered.
• Experience in financial accounting, management accounting, or finance business partnering functions.
• Skilled in budget monitoring, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
• A qualification in Finance, Accountancy, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• An AAT qualification or part-qualified status is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Offer expert financial advice and support to Education and Schools services.
• Assist in budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, management information, and performance data.
• Coordinate financial reconciliations and support year-end accounting processes.
• Accurately complete statutory and departmental financial returns within deadlines.
• Address and resolve financial queries from schools, service managers, and stakeholders.
