Job summary

The Vanguard Group in Malvern seeks an experienced editorial strategist to transform Vanguard's research and expertise into advisor-facing thought leadership. You will partner with editorial strategy leaders, researchers, portfolio managers, and marketing to shape priorities and develop distinctive POVs that inform, engage, and influence financial advisors.

You will write and edit articles, executive bylines, presentations, and web content, ensuring Vanguard's voice and standards are reflected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in editorial strategy, financial journalism, content development, thought leadership, or related fields.
• Prior experience writing and editing for Financial Advisory markets.
• Experience in wealth/asset management or investment research.
• Exceptional writing, editing, interviewing and storytelling skills.
• Ability to translate complex subject matter into compelling content for professional audiences.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and subject-matter experts.
• Strong editorial judgment to identify meaningful stories, trends, and opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with editorial strategy leaders to develop and execute content agendas aligned with business priorities.
• Identify emerging trends and high-impact storytelling opportunities for financial advisors.
• Shape narratives, content frameworks, and thought leadership platforms across priority topics.
• Translate research and subject-matter expertise into audience-centered editorial concepts.
• Recommend content formats and distribution approaches to maximize audience value.
• Conduct interviews with internal and external subject-matter experts and advisors.
• Synthesize insights from interviews, proprietary research, and market developments.
• Develop narratives turning research findings into compelling thought leadership.
• Ensure Vanguard's voice, perspective, and standards across content.
• Collaborate with researchers and marketing teams to identify opportunities for proprietary studies.
