Job summary

The Wall Street Journal is seeking an experienced editor to join our Standards and Ethics department. You will champion the highest standards of fairness and integrity in journalism and act as an arbiter on our most impactful reporting.

You will oversee pre-publication reviews with editors and Dow Jones media attorneys, resolve post-publication issues, and defend readers’ interests with decisive judgment and steadfast ethics.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of journalism experience, including high-level editing and managerial experience in a senior leadership role.
• A clear sense of fairness, keen news judgment and an unwavering commitment to truth.
• Significant knowledge of The Wall Street Journal's standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Be a champion and defender of the highest-quality, fact-based journalism.
• Handle pre-publication review of essential journalism, working with Dow Jones media attorneys and editors.
• Resolve issues that may come up after publication.
