CGS is seeking a Senior eDiscovery Technician to join our team supporting the legal organization within a large Federal agency.

Skills and attributes for success:
  • Log the production in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System
  • Digest the cover letter (which may be several pages long) and provide a brief description of the production
  • If the media received is encrypted and no password is provided, call the producing party to obtain the password
  • Determine if the cover letter contains substantive information that would qualify it for loading into Relativity
  • Virus scan the production off-network, using multiple virus protection software and other tools
  • If issues are detected, follow protocol to address or reject the production
  • Once the production is virus-free, copy it to the Agency's network
  • Follow specific protocols when handling various document types (e.g., whistleblower, RFPA, MOU, international, BSA, audio files, transcripts, laptops, paper)
  • Analyze productions to determine processing requirements and protocols
  • Ensure data completeness and inspect load-ready data; communicate issues to the Litigation Support Specialist
  • Monitor for incoming productions via email and FTP
  • Scan and OCR small paper document sets for loading into Relativity
  • Coordinate off-site scanning for large paper document sets
Qualifications:
  • At least three years of eDiscovery technical experience supporting project requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (additional relevant work experience may substitute for degree)
  • Knowledge of information resources
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Experience managing multiple tasks as described above
  • U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Ideally, you will also have:
  • Experience with government software policies and procedures
  • Client-facing communication experience
  • Federal security clearance
