Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior Discovery IT System Administrator to join a fast‑paced team supporting electronic discovery tools and related infrastructure. You will ensure availability of discovery applications, manage servers and databases, and collaborate with vendors, developers, and business stakeholders to implement fixes and improvements.

The role requires strong knowledge of EDRM, experience with Relativity or Veritas eDiscovery, and expertise in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and SQL Server.

Qualifications

• Legal technology experience and knowledge of the EDRM.
• Experience implementing e‑discovery tools such as Relativity, Veritas eDP, or other cloud‑hosted review platform applications.
• Skills to support backend infrastructure, data migrations, application installation, management and configuration.
• Ability to install, operate, and manage Microsoft Server 2019/2022 and Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022.
• Experience operating and managing cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, VMware, Azure Functions, Azure API Gateways, AWS EC2 servers, AWS Lambda, and AWS API Gateways.
• Proficiency in relational databases, MySQL and/or SQL Server 2012 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day availability of electronic discovery applications and related tools.
• Administer and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Monitor and test application performance for bottlenecks; work with vendors and developers to implement fixes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Assist technical architecture design discussions.
• Liaise with vendors on behalf of OGC to address product issues.
• Develop and provide training for end users.
• Provide general support and SME guidance on electronic discovery tools and applications.
• Reverse engineer and document the as‑is architecture of legacy systems.
• Analyze capabilities, gather business requirements and translate to technical specs.
• Support discovery application integration/migration activities.
• Contribute to Knowledge Management databases with technical articles.
