Job summary

Zelis is seeking an experienced EDI Analyst II to support healthcare EDI integrations focusing on ANSI X12 5010 835 ERA transactions. You will troubleshoot complex issues, improve integration workflows with automation and AI tools, and ensure data accuracy and HIPAA compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

The role requires 5–7+ years of healthcare EDI experience and strong SQL, data mapping, and analytics skills, with hybrid work options across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of healthcare EDI experience, including 3–5+ years supporting HIPAA ANSI X12 835 transactions.
• Experience with Edifecs, Crystal Validation, data mapping and healthcare integration processes.
• Advanced SQL and data analysis skills; Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred.
• Experience with 837, 834, and 270/271 is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, troubleshooting and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot ANSI X12 5010 835 (ERA) transactions for issues.
• Design and maintain EDI integration workflows and testing plans.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for escalated 835 remittance issues.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve data quality, validation, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with clients, vendors, and partners.
