Job summary

Pi-Square Technologies LLC in Michigan seeks an ECU Lead Architect to define end-to-end ECU solutions including hardware, software, safety, cybersecurity, and networks. You will drive architecture coherence across System Engineering, Hardware, Software, and supplier teams throughout the product lifecycle.

You will own requirements traceability, ESP/ISO 26262 alignment, and architectural trade-offs while coordinating across disciplines to meet performance, cost, and industrialization goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronics/CS or related field.
• Proven automotive ECU/system architecture experience on complex embedded platforms.
• Experience delivering HPC, Zonal Controller, or Domain Controller solutions.
• Strong understanding of E/E architectures, SDV concepts, and centralized computing.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, diagnostics, and networking.
• Familiar with ISO 26262 and cybersecurity engineering practices.
• Experience with requirements engineering and architecture modeling.
• Experience with DOORS NG, Polarion, Jama, Jira, Git or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and consolidate functional, safety, cybersecurity, and performance requirements for the ECU.
• Define and govern ECU hardware, software, safety, cybersecurity, and deployment architectures.
• Lead technical reviews, architecture reviews, and risk assessments across disciplines.
• Own ECU baseline, traceability between requirements, architecture, and verification.
• Define and manage ECUs state-management, power modes, wake-up, and fault handling.
• Coordinate convergence across Hardware, Software, Safety, Cybersecurity, and Vehicle Integration.
• Support FMEA activities and develop verification/testing strategies at ECU level.
• Ensure ISO 26262 Functional Safety and ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity compliance.
