Job summary

Amazon's Decision Science team in Devices builds econometric and ML models to estimate demand and guide pricing for concept devices. You will work with scientists, economists, PMs, and engineers to translate data into actionable business insights and influence go/no-go decisions.

We seek a PhD economist with analytics experience to lead modeling efforts, mentor peers, and communicate complex results to senior leadership. This role is based in Seattle with a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics or equivalent.
• Experience in analytics and applied economics.
• Ability to build statistical models using R, Python, STATA or related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop econometric/machine learning models to measure demand and inform pricing decisions.
• Review models and results, mentor junior scientists.
• Generate economic insights for devices and services and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Interact with senior leadership to guide business decisions and special projects.
