Job summary

Econ One Research in Texas is seeking a seasoned economist to support testifying experts in complex antitrust and related litigation. You will design econometric models, analyze datasets, and mentor junior staff while delivering clear written work for attorneys and clients.

The role emphasizes independent research, strong writing, and collaboration with case teams to meet timelines and deliverables. A Ph.D. in Economics is required with extensive econometrics experience.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Economics (or advanced degree with substantial relevant experience) with focus in microeconomics, IO, or econometrics
• Minimum two years supporting testifying experts in antitrust-related litigation
• Demonstrated proficiency in econometric modeling and real-world data estimation techniques
• Significant hands-on experience in SAS and/or Stata
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills; ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
• Proven leadership and project management abilities; mentoring experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with high accuracy

Responsibilities

• Support testifying experts in complex antitrust and related litigation matters
• Design and implement econometric models and statistical analyses on real-world datasets
• Manage and review workstreams to ensure accuracy and quality of work product
• Mentor and guide junior staff on analytical approaches
• Conduct independent research and analysis with minimal supervision
• Clean and analyze data using SAS and/or Stata
• Produce clear written work, including memoranda, reports, and exhibits summarizing analyses and findings
• Communicate complex economic and econometric concepts clearly to attorneys, clients, and testifying experts
• Collaborate with case teams to manage project timelines and deliverables
