Job summary

City of Palm Coast is seeking a Senior Manager to lead economic development efforts, coordinating public and private sector initiatives to grow the local economy. The role requires professional experience in development planning, financial analysis, and program implementation, with strong collaborative and communication skills.

The incumbent will oversee CRA activities and development districts, manage grants and incentives, and partner with regional entities to drive growth in Palm Coast.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of progressively responsible professional experience in economic/community development project management in a public organization.
• Experience with real estate development, redevelopment areas, or community development districts preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the City's economic development planning and implementation with public and private sectors.
• Provide proactive customer service and assist developers, businesses, and property owners toward successful outcomes.
• Act as business recruitment and commercial development facilitator to retain and expand existing businesses.
• Evaluate local resources, goals, and opportunities; promote businesses in Palm Coast.
• Manage activities of community redevelopment areas and development districts as assigned.
• Develop and manage city grants and financial incentives related to economic development.
• Update data on real estate trends, employment, and related issues; maintain website and marketing materials.
• Coordinate with regional partners and agencies to support ongoing economic development.
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, budgets, and action requests for City Council.
