Role Overview
This role plays a key part in shaping the performance of B&H’s digital experience. The Senior eCommerce Data Analyst will drive data‑informed decisions across the website, with a focus on customer behavior, site performance, and business impact.
Partnering closely with Web, Marketing, Product, and Leadership teams, this role will uncover insights, define KPIs, and influence strategy across the full customer journey, helping ensure the website continues to be a critical growth engine for the business.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Insights
- Analyze site performance, customer behavior, and conversion funnels to identify opportunities for growth and optimization
- Conduct deep‑drop analyses to inform key business decisions across traffic quality, engagement, retention, and purchase behavior
- Deliver actionable insights that improve conversion rate, customer experience, and revenue
Measurement & Analytics Strategy
- Own eCommerce analytics roadmap, aligning measurement priorities with business goals
- Lead measurement strategy across the digital experience, ensuring consistent and scalable tracking across platforms
- Define and standardize KPIs across eCommerce and marketing initiatives, including conversion rate, LTV, NPS, and personalization impact
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of tracking frameworks, including GA4 implementation and event‑based measurement
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to track business performance
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders and senior leadership
- Enable self‑service analytics across teams by providing accessible tools and reporting
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, CRM, Product, and Web teams to measure performance across acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Support segmentation and audience analysis to improve personalization and targeting
- Translate business needs into structured analytical frameworks and deliverables
Testing & Optimization
- Lead and support A/B testing and experimentation initiatives across the website and marketing channels
- Develop hypotheses, design tests, and analyze results to inform business decisions
- Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous optimization
Data Infrastructure & Integration
- Work with internal data systems including data warehouse, PIM, and CRM integrations to ensure data accessibility and consistency
- Partner with technical teams to improve data pipelines, tracking, and overall data quality
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital, or marketing analytics
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to work across large and complex datasets
- Experience with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, MicroStrategy, etc.)
- Experience with data visualization, including building dashboards and communicating insights effectively
- Hands‑on experience with GA4, including event‑based tracking and funnel analysis
- Strong experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks, including hypothesis development and result interpretation
- Deep understanding of eCommerce metrics, including conversion rate, AOV, LTV, retention, and customer behavior
- Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders and influencing decision‑making
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
- This role is based on‑site at our New York City office (440 9th Ave). Remote work is not available for this position.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with Python (or similar) for advanced analysis, automation, or modeling
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager or similar tracking tools
- Experience with customer segmentation, lifecycle analytics, and personalization strategies
- Experience measuring multi‑channel marketing performance (paid media, email, organic, etc.)
- Experience with marketing mix modelling (MMM) to evaluate efficiency across channels
Education
BA/BS degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics) or equivalent experience
