A leading ecological consultancy in the UK is seeking a Senior Ecologist for a remote position. The role involves driving the delivery of protected species and BNG consultancy services, conducting surveys and assessments, and ensuring compliance with ecological best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecological assessments, project management, and client communication. Our ecology consultancy division is overseen by a team of principal ecologists, each with their own specialisms: BNG, herpetofauna, bats, PEA, HRA and River Condition Assessment. This role is central to the day-to-day success of the business and contributes directly to operational performance and customer outcomes. As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for helping drive the delivery of protected species and BNG consultancy services to clients, including surveys, assessments and advice, working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure high standards of delivery, compliance and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment and enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making a tangible impact.
