Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Ecological Risk Assessor to join its risk assessment and remediation practices. The role supports diverse private and government projects across the U.S. and internationally, with field work as needed.

Responsibilities include developing work plans, performing risk calculations, writing technical deliverables, and mentoring junior staff. Strong knowledge of EPA guidance and data analysis is essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Ecotoxicology, Ecology, Zoology, Environmental Science/Studies, Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology and 6+ years of ecological risk assessment experience.
• US Citizenship is required and valid driver's license with ability to pass MVR/background checks.
• Preferred: Master’s/PhD and experience with EPA risk assessment guidance.

Responsibilities

• Perform ecological risk assessments per regulatory guidance and project work plans.
• Develop Risk Assessment Work Plans and contribute to sampling and QA/QC plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare technical deliverables, write reports, and perform risk calculation reviews.
• Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates for risk assessment.
