Job summary

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist to perform adult echocardiography and peripheral vascular studies. The role includes assisting physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures and providing direct patient care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications include an associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology/ Sonography or equivalent experience, BLS, and RDMS/ RVT certification. 4–5 years of cardiovascular ultrasound experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 year / Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology/ Sonography is required.
• In lieu of an Associates Degree; a Minimum of 4 years additional relevant experience is acceptable
• 4 - 5 years Cardiovascular Ultrasound experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Adult Echo or Pediatric Echo or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult echocardiography and vascular ultrasound exams without supervision.
• Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Provide direct patient care to all ages.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment; adapt to new technology.
