Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with RDCS-AE required upon hire.
• RCS certification required upon hire.
• RDCS PE certification preferred upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac sonography examinations.
• Produces quality images following protocols.
• Maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice.
• Educates patients/families regarding the procedure.
• Positions the patient and completes the procedure.
• Adheres to safety, quality and departmental policies.
• Follows regulatory and accrediting standards.
• Reports variances and ensures effective documentation.
