Job summary

Baptist Health Shelby Hospital in Alabaster, AL is seeking a skilled sonographer to join our diagnostic cardiology team on a PRN basis. You will perform noninvasive and invasive cardiovascular ultrasound exams and vascular studies under supervision, ensuring high-quality images and patient care.

Qualified graduates with ARDMS/CCI credentials, at least two years of experience, and strong teamwork are encouraged to apply. The hospital offers a supportive environment and modern imaging facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of sonography and ARDMS/CCI certification requirements.
• Minimum two years of experience in cardiology/vascular ultrasound preferred.
• Ability to perform routine noninvasive and invasive studies with image optimization.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in routine noninvasive and/or invasive cardiology and/or vascular ultrasound diagnostics.
• Operates equipment and maintains performance for high-quality imaging.
• Works with providers to perform exams and document findings accurately.
• Ensures patient safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Participates in quality control and continuous improvement activities.
• Mentors students and supports daily workflow within the department.
