Job summary

Masimo, a global medical technology company in Irvine, CA, seeks a Principal Engineer, Algorithm – ECG to lead ECG signal processing architecture and development for non-invasive cardiac monitoring. This on-site role partners with hardware, software, and clinical teams to deliver regulatory-compliant solutions from concept to commercialization.

Qualifications

B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
12+ years of relevant ECG algorithm development experience.
Deep expertise in ECG signal processing, DSP, and statistical modeling.
Proven experience in ECG algorithms with waveform detection and feature extraction.
Strong programming skills in C/C++, MATLAB, Python.
Experience with large-scale physiological/clinical datasets.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of advanced ECG signal processing algorithms.
Architect scalable algorithm frameworks for real-time embedded and cloud analytics.
Develop and optimize algorithms for heart rate, arrhythmia, and ECG morphology.
Design validation strategies using clinical datasets to ensure accuracy across populations.
Translate clinical and regulatory requirements into algorithm design inputs per FDA/IEC.
