Job summary

Marotta Controls seeks an experienced Senior Staff ECAD Designer to develop and release PCB layouts meeting electrical, mechanical, EMC, and manufacturing requirements. The role focuses on OrCAD/Cadence workflows, library management, and IPC standards, with cross‑functional collaboration across engineering and manufacturing.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, organizational skills, and a track record in high-voltage/high-current PCB designs within a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years ECAD electrical design experience with OrCAD/Cadence.
• Familiar with IPC class II & III for PCB design and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of parts library generation/maintenance for schematic capture and layout.
• Experience with high-voltage/high-current PCB design and spacing requirements.
• Ability to read datasheets and understand electrical/mechanical design practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver OrCAD-based PCB layouts and documentation into manufacturing per requirements.
• Create/maintain libraries and footprints per IPC standards.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Support design reviews for Electrical, EMC, and Manufacturing aspects.
• Contribute to cost and producibility goals through design for manufacturability.
