Qualifications

• 24 Semester units of Early Childhood Education including CORE classes and Infant/Toddler Development
• California Commission on Teaching Credentialing - Teacher Permit
• CA AB1207 Child Care Provider Mandated Reporter Training
• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of college-level training in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Background Check Clearance by the CA Department of Social Services is required
• No convictions related to child abuse or offenses bearing relation to qualifications for a child care facility
• 2 years of working with preschool-aged children
• 6 months of supervised field experience in Early Childhood setting

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, secure environment to support a child's social, emotional, physical and intellectual development
• Co-teach with other educators in the center
• Organize and plan a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the center's philosophy and NAEYC accreditation guidelines
