Job summary

Primoris Energy Services in the U.S. seeks an experienced E&I Construction Manager to oversee electrical and instrumentation construction on Nexus projects. You will lead and mentor field teams, develop plans, and ensure on-schedule, on-budget delivery.

This role requires a strong background in NEC and instrumentation standards, plus leadership, safety, and collaboration with client representatives. Travel to project sites will be required as needed, with a focus on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in E&I construction management.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale E&I construction projects from inception to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical NEC codes, instrumentation standards, and construction best practices.
• Strong project management skills including scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise E&I construction teams including superintendents, foremen, and craft personnel.
• Develop, implement, and enforce project-specific E&I construction plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Ensure safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards on site.
• Coordinate E&I subcontractors to meet contractual obligations and quality standards.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation for E&I systems.
• Oversee procurement, delivery, and storage of E&I materials and equipment.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines and budgets.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets specs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports; collaborate with discipline managers and client reps.
• Manage change orders and claims; participate in planning, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and record-keeping.
