Job summary

Vadum Inc. is seeking a Senior Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer in Raleigh, NC to design, develop, and optimize DSP algorithms for national defense products.

You will lead DSP initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the full product lifecycle from conception to deployment. The role requires a 10+ year background in DSP, proficiency in C/C++ and MATLAB, and an active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience in DSP/engineer roles.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and MATLAB.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and analyze DSP systems for information extraction; act as Task Lead.
• Analyze hardware requirements; optimize algorithms and draft specifications.
• Support tests; prepare reports for board design and management.
• Present results in briefings and written materials to team and customers.
• Plan research, design, testing; collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams.
• Document requirements; manage external publications and test results.
