Job summary

Vadum, Inc. seeks a highly skilled Senior Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to join our engineering team in Raleigh, NC. You will design, develop, and optimize DSP algorithms and systems to enhance our defense-focused products and solutions.

You will lead technical efforts, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and communicate complex results to customers and management. A strong background in DSP, signal processing, and machine learning is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages (C and C++ systems).
• Fluency in MATLAB software.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex signaling systems.
• Sound machine learning capabilities and math skills.
• Time management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and analyze systems for extraction of information from signal sensors and lead as Task Lead.
• Analyze hardware requirements and optimize algorithms; design specifications for all digital processes and ensure compliance with guidance.
• Provide technical support to all tests for hardware and prepare reports for board design.
• Communicate results in briefings and written material to team, customers, and management.
• Plan and perform analytical and engineering research, design development, testing, and other technical tasks.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and cross-functional teams.
• Document project requirements and ensure adherence to schedules; manage external publications.
• Participate in full product life cycle from conception to user experience.
