Job summary

Vadum Inc. is seeking a Senior Digital Signal Processing Engineer to design, optimize, and lead DSP algorithms for defense-related products.

You will work across hardware and software teams, drive performance improvements, and guide project direction with strong technical leadership. The role requires a deep background in DSP, MATLAB proficiency, C/C++ programming, and an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++ systems.
• Fluency in MATLAB software.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex signaling systems.
• Sound machine learning capabilities and math skills.
• Time management and leadership abilities.
• Ability to collaborate and lead when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and analyze DSP systems for signal extraction; serve as Task Lead.
• Optimize algorithms; specify digital processes and ensure compliance with guidance.
• Support hardware tests and prepare reports for board design reviews.
• Communicate results through briefings and written materials to team and clients.
• Plan analytical research, design development, testing, and technical assignments.
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams.
• Document requirements and manage external publications and test procedures.
• Contribute to full product life cycle from concept to user experience.
• Propose improvements to DSP processes and test software accordingly.
• Evaluate designs, analyze hardware/software needs, and administer projects.
• Develop proposals and support technology roadmaps.
• Design and develop signal processing and ML algorithms in computer vision, acoustic, and RF/radar domains.
