Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to contribute as a designer and developer for Android, Linux, DSP, and DPS systems. You will guide vendors on audio roadmap designs and participate in DSP module integration, with a focus on audio processing, noise management, and in-car communication.

The role requires senior-level software engineering experience across C, DSP, and C++, with hands-on hardware and tools experience, plus collaboration in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Ten years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer or related leadership role.
• Eight years of experience with C, DSP development, DSP hardware, OO software, algorithms and data structures.
• Three years of experience with C++.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and release software for Android, Linux, DSP and DPS systems.
• Advise vendors to guide future audio roadmap items and designs.
• Improve and tailor infotainment software, device drivers, and stack.
• Collaborate in Scrum/Agile processes and provide training/documentation.
