Job summary

Agropur, inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer - SME Dryers to join our drying systems team.

This role focuses on spray drying and related technologies, providing technical leadership and design guidance across the dairy processing network. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years in membrane system process engineering, strong standards development experience, and the ability to drive optimization while collaborating with diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (ChE preferred).
• 10+ years experience in membrane system process engineering and/or capital project development/execution.
• Experience developing technical standards and specifications.
• Demonstrated expertise in membrane system design, operation, troubleshooting and optimization.
• Strong understanding of dairy processing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as enterprise SME for drying systems, focusing on spray drying.
• Provide technical leadership for spray dryers, fluid bed dryers/coolers, and related systems.
• Lead technical reviews of major capital projects involving drying technologies.
• Support strategic decisions on drying system design, tech selection, and optimization.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygienic design standards.
