Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Mid Level Drupal Developer to design, build, and maintain Drupal-based web applications and CMS workflows across front-end, back-end, and database layers. You will implement custom modules and themes, ensure accessibility, perform QA, and collaborate with information management, security, and QA teams to deliver reliable content platforms.

Experience with LAMP environments, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines is essential; US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field; 4 years' experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of Drupal development and support across web apps.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Public Trust; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Hands-on Drupal 9/10+ development including modules and configurations.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript; Linux/LAMP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Drupal sites with custom modules, themes, views, workflows.
• Support and QA content updates for Drupal and WordPress sites.
• Support CMS on LAMP stack with Tomcat, Solr, PHP; analyze data with SQL.
• Build and maintain API and relay services between systems and public site.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Mid Level Drupal Developer to develop, maintain, and support web applications and content management systems used to publish and distribute products. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the front end, back end, and database layers and takes ownership of quality and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Drupal sites, including custom modules, themes, content types, views, and workflows
• Support content updates for Drupal- and WordPress-based sites with thorough QA practices
• Support and troubleshoot custom-built content management systems running on a LAMP stack with Tomcat, Solr, and PHP
• Develop and maintain API and relay services between internal systems and the public website
• Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts to analyze data and verify consistency and accuracy across multiple systems
• Implement front-end functionality using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring responsive and accessible design
• Participate in testing, security scanning, and deployment of application updates using Ansible and CI/CD pipelines
• Work with Information Management staff to ensure metadata and product data flow correctly through web and internal database environments
• Support daily publishing and content-posting operations, troubleshooting and resolving issues that could impede timely posting of products
• Follow documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) and recommend improvements to repeatable processes
• Collaborate with Information Management staff, system developers, QA, and security teams to ensure accurate flow of data and metadata across system environments
• Maintain technical documentation, release notes, and runbooks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
• 5+ years of related experience developing and supporting Drupal-based web applications
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship
• Hands-on Drupal development experience (Drupal 9/10 or later), including module, theme, and configuration management
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with Linux/LAMP environments
• Experience consuming and building REST/JSON APIs
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and deployment automation (e.g., Ansible)
• Working knowledge of Section 508 / WCAG accessibility requirements
• Strong troubleshooting, attention to detail, and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
