Job summary

NuAxis is seeking a Senior Drupal Developer to lead architecture, develop custom modules, and optimize enterprise web properties. You will drive platform upgrade strategy and security hardening while guiding a team of developers.

The role emphasizes accessibility (Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA), performance tuning, and CI/CD operations. Strong Drupal 9/10 expertise, PHP, Twig, and Migrate API are essential, with collaboration across federal projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or related field; 2 years may substitute for 1 year.
Five to eight years of Drupal development experience, including at least one major upgrade.
Acquia Certified Developer - Drupal required.
Acquia certifications obtainable within 180 days of hire.
Certifications in Cloud/Frontend are preferred.
Strong PHP, Drupal 9/10, custom module development, Twig, Migrate API, Composer, Drush, caching and performance.
Preferred: Headless Drupal, accessible frontend, federal web environments, governance at scale.

Responsibilities

Define Drupal site architecture, content models, and multisite or distribution strategy.
Develop custom modules, services, and integrations; lead major version upgrades and migrations.
Implement security hardening, patch management, caching, and performance tuning.
Ensure front-end delivery meets Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements.
Lead code review, CI/CD configuration, and mentoring of mid-level developers.
